Primal Chaos is the beginning of all that exists and that is. Primal Chaos in Reference to Mixed Martial Arts “MMA” would be Pammachia “TOTAL COMBAT.”


Pammachia is a ancient sport and martial art. It was introduced in the Greek Olympic Games in 648 B.C. IT was then known to people as “Pankration”


The term Pankration comes from the Greek words “Pan” (meaning “ALL”) and “Kratos”(meaning “STRENGTH” or “POWER”). It is pronounced as the following: pankrat-ee-on.



Pankration as practiced in the ancient world, combined elements of both Boxing (pygme / pygmachia) and Wrestling (pale). This was to create a broad fighting sport. It is similar to today’s Mixed Martial Arts “MMA.”

In the sport a match was won by either a submission of the opponent or the opponent was incompacitated.


A contestant could signal submission by raising a hand but sometimes the only form of submission was unconsciousness or death. Joint locks and choke holds were common techniques of accomplishing this. In fact, there were rules then as well. The only two rules were: “NO EYE GOUGING” and” NO BITING”.
